Since 2006, China Programs at the Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI) have developed rapidly with strong support from partners in China and USA. Programs have focused on the related subject areas of hazmat, firefighting, emergency management, and library and information science. Chinese delegations have visited IFSI and Illinois. IFSI colleagues have been invited to participate in conferences and deliver presentations in China. IFSI annually welcomes Chinese librarians and visiting scholars. IFSI instructors teach and train Chinese first responders in China and at IFSI.
自2006年以来，在中美合作伙伴的大力支持下，伊利诺伊消防服务学院（IFSI）的中国项目迅速发展。项目着重于危化品、消防、应急管理、以及图书馆和信息科学等相关学科领域。来自中国的代表团访问了IFSI和伊利诺伊州。IFSI的同僚也受邀参加中国的会议，并进行演讲和报告。IFSI每年都安排中国图书馆员和访问学者前来伊大。IFSI教官们也分别在中国和IFSI本部培训过来自中国的急救响应人员。
